FAQ How does misting work? When ultra-fine water droplets by our misting nozzles are introduced into the atmosphere, they quickly absorb the energy present in the environment and boil off (evaporate). The energy (heat) that is used to produce this state change from liquid to gas is eliminated from the atmosphere, hence the air is cooled by the process called evaporative cooling. Our fog nozzles are designed to produce a very fine mist in order to get water to evaporate quickly. What should I do if misting nozzles plug up? Cleaning Nozzles - Replace or clear obstructed or clogged nozzles. Nozzles may be cleared by scraping the stainless steel end with the flat surface of a knife or screwdriver. To remove the nozzle, turn in a counter-clockwise direction. Nozzles may be routinely cleaned by soaking in a solution of LIME AWAY or CLR overnight. Rinse thoroughly after soaking. Replace nozzle by turning in the clockwise direction until snug. What is the difference between Mist and FOG? Mist and Fog are both created by water droplets. The main difference is density. Density is the amount of water droplets in a given volume of air. Fog is denser than mist and tends to last longer. How much water does a misting system actually use? This will vary depending on the size of the system and the number of nozzles to be used. What type of battery doe sit to use and how long do the batteries last? The battery size is 2400mah and can last approx. 2-3 hours before having to recharge. What is the difference between a conventional sprayer and our electrostatic sprayer? The sprayer provides an electrical charge to solutions, allowing them to wrap conductive surfaces with an effective and even coverage. Double-charged particles envelope all conductive surfaces – shadowed, vertical, and underneath. It is very suitable for dis-infection. Droplets act like a magnet.
